SharePoint Quick Start: Requirements, Design and Planning

Purpose of Engagement

As companies look to either extend the scope and value of their existing SharePoint implementation or are just getting started on the initiative, there is seldom enough emphasis on planning and design.  The purpose of this engagement is to focus on the high-level requirements of the organization and map them to features and capabilities within SharePoint.  We work closely with the internal team as well as key managers and business leaders to educate and accelerate the processes required to gain optimal value from the initiative.  Through the exploration of possibilities based on years of experience and intimate knowledge of SharePoint’s capabilities the group will begin to architect the solution, the plan to deliver it and create a powerful business justification for spending the time and money required to succeed.

Engagement Details

The session would last three full days and would be preceded by specific preplanning efforts directed by Mixon Consulting so that the time is optimized and deliverables successful in providing value.

The following high level deliverables would come out of this three day session: 

• Functional Business Requirements
• Information Architecture Map and Taxonomy
• Infrastructure Review and Design
• Solution Implementation Roadmap
• Work Break Down Structure Including Resources and Major Milestones
• Budgetary Estimates for Future Project Phases

Cost of the Engagement

The cost for this three day session is $6000 (plus travel costs - airfare, meals, transportation and lodging).  This includes three full days of a Mixon Consulting Enterprise Information Architect dedicated time and completion of the above deliverables.
